Ian Denley      Project Leader
BSc (Biology)

 

Ian Denley has over 25 years experience in environmental impact assessment, monitoring, reporting, mapping and rehabilitation. Ian has extensive experience in a wide range of Environmental management areas to lengthy to list here. He has worked on several environmental impact assessments with substantial components of spatial analysis and data acquisition.

In Queensland, Ian has been involved in a pest management strategy and plan, including GIS and database solutions for the Australian Army in Shoalwater Bay, identified and mapped significant vegetation and environmental constraints for the Livingstone Shire Council IPA Scheme and vegetation and environmental GIS mapping as part of EIA’s for Cheetham Salt and Powerlink in Gladstone and Broadsound.  Ian has also worked in private industry in NSW and Queensland providing environmental impact assessment, mapping, management and rehabilitation services to land development projects, NSW Public Works, Mineral Deposits, RZM, the NSW Department of Main Roads, NSW State Forests and Pacific Blue Metal Quarries.

 

Nick Smith      Project Leader
BSc (Geology)
MSc (Botany)

  Nick Smith has work as a geologist before working in environmental management, land rehabilitation and agro-forestry for the last 10 years.
In Queensland, Nick has written Vegetation Management reports, Weed Infestation assessments, Bushfire Hazard Assessment and Bushfire Management Plans for local councils. Nick has also been involved in agro-forestry projects including a community forestry/land rehabilitation project within the Livingstone Shire. Nick has been involved in flora surveys and numerous land rehabilitation projects within the Livingstone Shire. Nick’s work has involved liaising with local council, Department of Mines and Natural Resources, Queensland Parks and Wildlife and Central Queensland University.
Nick has also worked in Western Australia and The Northern Territory undertaking extensive field trips involving geophysical surveying, sampling and exploration for mining companies. This work has included GIS mapping and extensive scientific report writing.
Nick has been a member of the local fire brigade for over ten years and has completed Fire management 1. (Queensland Fire and Rescue Service/ Rural Fire Service)

Helen Hutchards        Office Administration

  Helen keeps our office together and running smoothly. For the few words we have written about Helen, she does a fantastic job of keeping all our business systems and accounting running and up to date. Helen is an indispensable member of our team. Helen is currently studying Certificate IV in Small Business Management.
